The ROWA GROUP is an internationally renowned supplier of top-quality engineering plastics, specialty coating systems, color concentrates, additives, blowing agents, and adhesion promoters. Starting out in 1958 as a rubber-processing company, we have reached our current position by continuously expanding our business areas and expertise in the world of polymers and through organic growth. Along the way, we have embraced technological, economic, and social developments and successfully addressed them through the establishment of new companies and acquisitions. The cornerstones of our success have always been our solid foundation as a medium-sized business, our deep roots in our founding location of Pinneberg, and the quality of German engineering. With this foundation, we will continue to meet future market demands with creativity and agility.
1958 – ROWA GmbH is founded as a rubber-processing company.
The foundation for the entire group of companies is laid.
1969 – Production of special coatings for PVC- and PU-coated fabrics.
Expansion into a technologically important second business field.
1978 – Start of color and additive masterbatch production.
1979 – Acquisition of TRAMACO (primers, blowing agents, resins, waxes).
The group diversifies and gains significantly in technological breadth.
1987 – Founding of ROWA Inc. USA.
1989 – Expansion of the main site in Pinneberg.
Start of global expansion and capacity increase.
1990 – Founding of ROMIRA (engineering plastics).
1994/1995 – Founding of ROWA France and ROWA Korea.
Strengthening the international presence and entering the field of engineering polymers.
2003 – US plant for propellant masterbatches.
2004 – Founding of ROWASOL (liquid colors/additives).
Further expansion of polymer and color technologies.
2010 – Founding of ROWA GROUP Holding and spin-off of the coatings and masterbatch divisions.
2011–2015 – Major expansion projects (high-bay warehouse, new production lines, U.S. technology center).
2016–2019 – Expansion in China and a new TRAMACO site.
