Your Tasks
- Conducting contract and price negotiations with domestic and international suppliers
- Providing professional and disciplinary leadership for the purchasing department, which consists of a team of 5 employees
- Development and Implementation of a Forward-Looking Procurement Strategy
- Ensuring the cost-effective and timely procurement of raw materials, additives, and packaging with a total annual volume of over €50 million
- Establishing, maintaining, and further developing strategic supplier relationships
- Identification and Implementation of Cost Optimization and Savings Opportunities
- Analysis of procurement markets and assessment of supply chain risks
- Regular participation in trade shows in an international setting
Your Profile
- A successfully completed degree in business administration, industrial engineering, or a comparable qualification
- Several years of professional experience in strategic and operational procurement at a manufacturing company, ideally in the plastics, chemical, or process industries
- A strong affinity for plastics
- Experience in leading employees and teams, as well as a team-oriented mindset
- Excellent understanding of supply chains, commodity markets, and procurement strategies
- Proficiency in using ERP systems and common MS Office applications
- Fluency in German and a very good command of English
- Willingness to travel, particularly in Asia
