New blowing agent masterbatches for PVC foam-core pipes

For many years, TRAMACO GmbH has been supplying the pipe industry with chemical blowing agents for the production of foam-core pipes. Its extensive product portfolio meets the diverse needs of customers, which arise from their specific formulations and production conditions.

Building on this long-standing experience and taking into account recent trends in production and formulation, TRAMACO has developed a new line of blowing agents for the pipe industry.

A modified production process enables the manufacture of compact microgranules that are free-flowing and can be easily transported in automated conveyor systems. At the same time, this simplifies dosing and incorporation into the polymer mass. A new polymer carrier system produces a stable granulate that can be quickly incorporated into the polymer in the extruder, resulting in excellent dispersion of the blowing agent. Care was taken to ensure minimal rheological effects from the polymer carrier. This new product line includes tried-and-true blowing agent systems and new active ingredient combinations, ensuring that even the latest PVC formulations can be foamed with process stability.
Customized solutions tailored to specific customer requirements are also available within this new product line.
